The Haas design incorporates palatal acrylic on each side of the upper vault as expansion screw soldered to bands on the first molars. Positive pressure is exerted evenly on the palatal tissue and teeth with this design.
Bondable Haas
A Bondable Haas is useful for the very young patient whose cooperation may be in question. We place a thin layer of wax over the posterior occlusal surface to make room for the cement. Face mask hooks can be added as well as de- bonding loops.
